Therapist
Therapy sessions with Nicole are person centered and collaborative. You are the expert of your
experiences and because of this, they encourage feedback about what is working/not working in
sessions together. Nicole practices social work from strengths based, person in environment
framework and applies solution focused, somatic (body centered), mindfulness, & values based
therapy techniques with clients during sessions. Nicole provides affirming, culturally sensitive
care for members of LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, & Neuro Diverse communities. They have experience
working with trauma survivors, specifically related to interpersonal violence and sexual assault,
people struggling with suicide and self harm, those living with serious, persistent mental health
conditions, and people navigating faith transitions and family conflict.
Nicole recently moved to Salt Lake City after completing their Master of Social Work degree
from Utah State University in May, 2023. They are licensed to practice massage therapy and
certified to teach yoga since 2016. Their previous career as a bodyworker ultimately led them
down the path to becoming a mental health therapist with an interest in somatic therapies and
mindfulness. Nicole is passionate about social justice and human rights and is proud to identify
as a nonbinary, neurodivergent human. In their free time, they love singing karaoke, spending
time with loved ones and their rescue dog named Buddha.
